Alzheimer's Disease: The Basics

A free workshop titled "Memory Loss, Dementia, and Alzheimer's Disease: The Basics" will be held Friday, May 6, Noon- 1:30 PM at the Tompkins County Office for the Aging, 214 W. Martin Luther King, Jr./State Street, Ithaca. It is open to anyone concerned about a relative or friend with memory impairment.

Whitney Hadley, of the CNY Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, will differentiate normal aging from dementia, discuss the different types and stages of dementia, clinical trials, and programs and services to support persons with dementia and their caregivers.

Preregistration is recommended. To register or learn about other supports for family caregivers in Tompkins County, call the Tompkins County Office for the Aging, 274-5492 or email dstoyell@tompkins-co.org.
